We have eaten at Breitbach's many times over the years and have always had a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price, surrounded by a great Midwest ambiance. The drive, the restaurant, the food and it's employees make for a very exceptional day. We were saddened by the two fires and now look forward to another day after the 1st of August when, as verified by a phone call to Breitbach's, they will open at 11:00 a.m. (Susie and Steve Sumstine, LeClaire, IA)

Such sadness. We were just there on Tuesday. The newly rebuit restaurant was not the old one, but kept the character and was beautiful. Food was good and service excellent. It was very busy with fall color seekers, like us, and busses loaded with people wanting to see the restaurant that had risen from the ashes in a relatively short time. We extend our sincere sympathy to the Breitbach's and the people of the area. Mick and Carol
