Southland submits to each appraiser a log home fact sheet with their log home plans designed to aid the appraiser in identifying the unique qualities found only in a Southland Log Home. Open beams, cathedral ceilings, custom wall and floor coverings, custom trim and cabinetry, custom stairs and railings, custom masonry and stone fireplaces, extensive porches and decks, and other personalized features are just some of the qualities you can expect on a Southland Log Home.

  The back deck faces a pond and a field that is always populated by deer. It was so fun to be able to “hand pick” every last detail of our home. I wouldn’t change a thing. A friend helped me chisel each and every stone in our fireplace to be sure each stone was a perfect fit. It turned out beautiful. We had some log siding left over, so we decided to give our dogs their own Southland Log Home! They love it.

  Draw your own design on our website using our DesignWorks™ custom log home design tool. Several of our most popular designs are pre-loaded as a starting point for you or you can start with a blank canvas and create the log home of your dream. With our log cabin home design tool you can draw walls, add windows and doors, add staircases, add fireplaces, and even add furniture. Once you have created your dream log home you can easily submit it to us for pricing or questions.
• Decks
  Southland Log Homes premium LX upgrade package can enhance any of our log cabin kits. The luxury amenities include bigger logs, higher ceilings, larger porches and decks, and a 24′ by 36′ garage.
• Siding
  We purchased some additional log siding and installed it on our interior walls so it would match our logs. We wanted our Master Bedroom to be all wood. We also put tongue-n-groove pine in the ceiling. Our bedroom is so warm and comfortable. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to live out the log home experience.   Southland’s wood windows come standard with exterior vinyl cladding, removable grills, and screens factory installed. These windows are energy efficient with low-E argon filled glass to provide excellent insulation.
