IHI Turbo America was founded in 1980 as Warner-Ishi Corporation, a joint venture between IHI and Borg Warner Automotive and a licensee of IHI turbocharger technology. The company designs, markets, manufactures and distributes turbocharger products for internal combustion engine applications in North America. The company s customers include Ford, General Motors, Daimler-Chrysler, Renault, Fiat and other automobile manufacturers. IHI Turbo products include the RH series of high performance turbochargers for the passenger car market, the RHE series mixed-flow turbine for large displacement truck engines and the RHF series for small displacement passenger car engines. In addition, the company markets and distributes other IHI products, such as compressors, centrifuge separators and filters for a wide variety of applications. IHI Turbo America is headquartered in Shelbyville, Ill., and has distributors throughout North America
