General Info
Parker Marine, Inc has been serving boat owners nationally ( and some internationally ) for close to three decades! We are a full service boat yard that strives to live up to and promote our reputation that has been built on the trust of our customers for establishing excellence in every job, and setting the standards for which boats are repaired, rebuilt, serviced and upgraded. PMI offers repairs and upgrades to hull structure and finish, electrical and electronics systems, engine, transmission and underwater propulsion systems, sailboat rigging, plumbing and air conditioning systems. We have the experience, equipment and facility to handle most pleasure craft up to 60 feet in length. We are conveniently located between Cleveland and Sandusky on the Black River in the Harbor of Lorain. Please explore our website, we are proud of what we have accomplished in partnership with our customers! If you have any questions please feel free to either call us or drop an email, our contact information is listed at the bottom of this page. The before and after pictures shown above illustrate how the PMI team, by working closely with our customers can assist them in pursuing the system, layout, functionality and usability that is so important on today's modern yachts. The picture on the left shows the helm station on the flybridge of a 56' Sedan Bridge Motor yacht, with the dash and electronics configured by the boat builder in need of an upgrade. The picture on the right was taken upon completion of the upgrade, which features the installation of two Raymarine E Series 12 inch multifunction displays along with a new 10kw radar, Raystar 125 GPS, video cameras and more. The new system currently displays all charting functions ( Navionics Platinum ), Radar, Fish Finder, DVD, live images from two on-board video cameras, as well as all navigation information including speed, depth, position, heading, etc. Future upgrades possible for the systems displays include Sirius Marine Weather and engine instrument integration. The Raymarine E-Series displays have been on the market for several years now and have a proven "in service" track record! Prior to the installation of the new electronics by our on staff Raymarine certified installer, the entire fiberglass top of the helm station was removed from the vessel and restyled by our in house engineering staff, then rebuilt and refinished in our fiberglass shop, customized to the owners desires for the layout of the new instrumentation. This Tarten Ten class sailboat suffered major damage to her port side sustained in a collision which occurred during a racing event. The picture on the left shows the just how large the hole was. The picture on the right shows the same boat after completion of repairs. At PMI, we have been performing fiberglass repair work on vessels of all sizes and shapes, sail and power, for three decades. The workmanship, attention to detail, knowledge and experience that goes into each of our finished repair jobs are attributes that serve as the foundation of our reputation! You can see more work of this type completed by PMI by clicking on the pictures or link above and also by selecting One of the largest insures of pleasure craft in the U.S. recently published startling facts relating to the number one cause of onboard fires: faulty electrical systems! Whether it is an AC or DC system, problems within the system can cause fires, explosions and electrocutions or minimally an inconvenience such as dead batteries which could cause your engines to not start. Shown in the upper left picture is a 42' twin diesel inboard powerboat that had the DC primary system completely re-engineered and rewired by PMI. In addition to the rewiring, the battery banks are mounted in a custom built fiberglass enclosure, designed, built and installed by PMI. This vessel was originally built with the batteries spread throughout the engine compartment, making for unnecessary wire runs as well as accessibi
