Shawnee Mission Northwest operates under the Shawnee Mission School District. The school, located in Shawnee Mission, Kan., offers classes for students in grades nine through 12. It provides instruction in various subjects, including English, algebra, psychology, chemistry, computer applications, geometry, journalism, Spanish, interior design, physical science, statistics, sociology and world geography. The school s library stocks a variety of print and online resources. It offers various clubs and groups, such as academic decathlon, art and chess clubs, newspaper group, National Honor Society, prom committee and debate club. The school also offers a drill team, student council, spirit club, Amnesty International, and forensics and video game clubs. It provides guidance services for students by trained counselors.
