As a lifelong Labrador owner (happy go lucky dogs) when our last dog passed we purchased a German Shepard puppy. Micky was very protective of me to a fault. He aggressively barked at anyone of any age that walked by our home as well as every dog that was being walked by their owners. Micky thought that was his role and he would not listen to me. I called to seek out a trainer to help me and from the first phone conversation with Mike Sligh, I knew he would be the trainer for our family. Mike understood what I was going through and he did not judge me or ever make me feel like an incompetent dog owner. Mike took Micky through a very successful intensive board and train program. Then I attended a group training session so I would continue to reinforce what Micky had learned. In the group training Mike was always so respectful of all of us folks in the training when he easily managed all of the dogs and we all struggled with our own dogs in the first sessions. To this day, Mike is still Micky's favorite person right up there with Micky's family members!
