  The Moyes Eye Center is a 25,000 SF Ambulatory Surgery Center and Eye Clinic. The multiple architectural features and structural components of the facility made for both an interesting building aesthetics as well as challenging construction details. The precast concrete panels met with structural steel, metal framing with composite metal panels, and curtain-wall building skin to create the many unique architectural features of the design by ACI Boland. Serving as Construction Manager, Excel worked closely with the owner and designers to maintain the constructability and cost-effectiveness of the project suggesting and incorporating several value engineering options.

  The Donnelly College Academic Building and Campus on 18th Street in Kansas City, Kansas, was one of the largest privately-funded investments in eastern Wyandotte County in recent history.  For 70 years, Donnelly has been on a mission to provide exceptional higher education offerings to those who desire a college degree or certificate regardless of economic circumstances or social background.  Demolition of the existing classroom building, the old Providence Hospital, made way for the three-story 72,000 sf facility which includes state-of-the art learning environments, updated technology, centralized student support services, an academic resource center, 60 seat chapel, and a quad area with a 50’ x 80’ field for Futsal Ball completing the college’s vision to enhance the urban neighborhood and provide the ultimate student friendly campus. The US News & World Report named Donnelly College the #1 Midwest Region Campus in Ethnic Diversity for 2021.

  The physical therapy area on the 1st floor includes a synthetic turf area for agility, aerobic, and cardio training along with state-of-the-art equipment to support patient recovery.   Two (2) overhead garage doors open to allow fresh air to enter the space and an exterior area designated for additional training space.

• Carpentry
  Aaron joined Excel in 2004 as a Laborer, then transitioned to a Carpenter in 2014 and eventually developed into his current position as Superintendent. Aaron graduated from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Heart of America Carpentry Program in 2014. His ability to address challenges, execute a wide variety of tasks and manage jobs from start to finish makes him a valuable asset to Excel.
