Shaker Heights Middle School, located in Cleveland, is a public school that offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades seven and eight. The school has a student strength of more than 800 students and offers subjects, such as science, English, social studies, mathematics, foreign language, and health and physical education. It participates in writing competitions at the regional, state and national levels. In addition to classrooms, the school contains an indoor swimming pool, gymnasiums, student lounge, a more than 1,000-seat auditorium that can accommodate musical and dramatic performances, science and computer labs, cafeteria, clinic, and library media center. It also features athletic fields, running track, tennis courts, and a landscaped courtyard. The school is affiliated with the Shaker Heights Schools.
