Monogahela Middle School, based in Sewell, N.J., offers a variety of educational services. The school, operating under Deptford Township Schools, offers classes for more than 700 students every year in seventh and eighth grades. Its curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, social studies, science, arts, music, Spanish, study skills, physical education, health and technology. Its reading renaissance program builds a community of readers throughout the school. Monogahela Middle School offers computer instruction in its computer classrooms and laboratories. The school has a media center equipped with computers for research and has a wide selection of both fiction and nonfiction books. It organizes several intramural sports programs, including soccer, softball, basketball, floor hockey, flag football, weight training and volleyball.
