0EFT Marriage Counseling is a specific type of counseling geared towards creating healthy communication patterns to feel more connected. Carol is focused and professional. She is very easy to work with.
Carol Corcoran is an outstanding professional from whom couples of any age would benefit. Her insights and knowledge coupled with caring and compassion are outstanding.

Carol has done a near-miraculous job of making us able and willing to confront all of the dark places in our marriage, making it safe to tell our own truths and to hear each other in ways we've never come close to in the past. Helped my marriage and family situation immensely, patient and open to hear all sides, builds trust and confidence by bringing to the surface for discussion issues that have always declined into immediate arguments and supported a frank and honest evaluation of the issues, great connection with children and teens in the process.

SHE is a certified emotionally focused therapist with a lifetime membership to ICEEFT AS well AS being a longstanding clinical fellow of the american association for marriage and Family therapists WWW. AAMFT. ORG. AS a licensed marriage and Family therapist. Carol has trained in and applied several forms of therapy over the years and HAD previously applied an ‘eclectic’ approach to treatment. However. In the last TWO years SHE has moved away from this eclectic approach towards an attachment based therapy known AS emotionally focused therapy. ONE of the most effective and well researched treatment approaches developed. This nine step. Three stage approach. Requires compassion. Safety and support on the part of the therapist in order to BE truly effective and allow couples and Family members to feel held and nurtured AS they grow towards safety and connection with ONE Another.
