Southside High School is located in Selma, Ala., and offers classes to students in grades nine through 12. The school provides after school educational programs and activities to general students and students with disabilities. It offers a broad range of subjects, such as Spanish, English, language, reading, writing, geometry, algebra, world and American history, environmental science, earth and space science, biology, physics, chemistry and industrial and information technology. The school s other subjects include music, art, and physical education. It offers various clubs, such as reading, writing, language, music, mathematics, and has a band, choir and a dance and cheerleading team. The school s media center houses a wide collection of books, magazines, journals and audiovisual reference materials. It organizes various workshops, multicultural activities, music events, and field trips for students. The school s sports activities include football, basketball, baseball, softball, and track and field. The school provides meal, transportation and health care services to students.
