I have been looking for a new Vet. and to say it's daunting is an understatement. It sounds like this Vet is really great, but his staff has much to be desired. You know the saying though you're only as good as the people you surround yourself with. If the staff is rude most likely people will trickle away, or come but not enjoy their visit. People shouldn't have to be treated rudely when at the Vet's. It's stressful enough for us since our precious babies are stressed and/or sick, in turn we're already stressed/heartbroken. Having rude staff is unacceptable, they're supposed to be helpful, friendly and professional at ALL TIMES. I really didn't know why they're allowed to be like this. I know staff has to deal with a lot of rude obnoxious people, but staff members must still always remain nice, calm, professional. As far as prices the markup on medication is RIDICULOUS. Aside from the fact often one leaves the office w/o medicine and still the bill is outrageous. I saw where one person wrote you can't put a price on good care, possibly written by someone whom doesn't need to worry about money. I have one dog because I can't afford to bring another one to the Vet (I think this is common) which is sad there are so many in need of homes. My baby seems to always have something or another going on and it's very expensive. I will always give my baby the best I can. I don't think people realise that our dogs and cats don't need to be vaccinated as often as our Vet's say. Many of the vaccinations last many years and our beloved pets are being over vaccinated (which is not good). Do your own research, don't leave everything to the Vet. Take charge of your animals health, ask the hard questions, do the research (of course all puppies need to get all their vacations). Also, remember we're in a bad tick area. Anyway I do think prices can be brought down, I really think after time in the business it's forgotten why they went into this business (which I hope is the love of animals) and get greedy. Every animal deserves good quality care and all patients deserve to know they'll be treated with respect when visiting the Vet. If I was to decide to try this office it would be because of all the good things said about the Vet, I would not however allow anyone to treat myself or my dog badly. We all need to speak up when someone is rude etc. at the time it happens and make sure the Vet knows, if you want change you have to make it happen. Peace to all and may our animals live long healthy lives never knowing any type of abuse, only love and care. They're the innocent in this world. I gave 3 stars but know I've not been to this office, I'm on the fence as to if I'm going to try them out. I'm going by reading other reviews.

This was not my family member's first visit to Dr. Truesdale's office. The cat had been there before. I recommended the office when my relative moved to the area 3 years ago. You shouldn't make judgments unless you know the facts. The cat was nearly 19 years old and became ill. It was clearly his time. It was a difficult decision for the owners made more difficult by a vet staff that was cold and uncaring. They couldn't even manage an "I'm sorry" and never sent a condolence card (I have always received one.) I have been a client of the office for over 10 years. They have become too busy, too expensive, and sometimes downright rude. Dr. Truesdale is a good vet but my overall experiences with this practice have really gone downhill recently.
I'm grateful for Dr. Truesdale and his team! In today's world we walk into the vet with our own diagnosis and Doc always takes the time to truly listen to my fears and concerns and approaches my animals one illness at a time putting my worries at ease. It shocks me to see the review by "anonymous" about the Euthanasia complaint. It seems anonymous is a mindful pet owner as she states she's been a long term client. However I am confused as to why a person would want to walk into a new vet office with an older animal requesting the animal be PTS? Setting an animal free is an emotional decision, so why wouldn't they goto their vet? Since when does a responsible pet owner head to a new vet to say their final farewell? I didn't realize people "shopped" around for bargains when it comes to quality care of their pet. Being a Veterinarian starts with passion but it is a business. He has established an incredible practice and although time is precious - quality pet care is priceless!
After seeing that last review I feel compelled to respond & share my story: Just curious why they wouldn't have gone to their regular vet for a euthanasia - I know the clinic doesn't mercy kill just because a pet is old. I've been a long time client at Dr. Truesdale's & sadly we had to put our last pet to sleep recently. Dr. Truesdale & the Nurses made sure to take their time to counsel me on the decision to put Lola down. In my time as a client I was made to feel like part of the clinic family - They always went above and beyond for my pets! Being a pet owner can be hard when tough choices have to be made, and emotions may run high during those times, maybe causing people to take things too personally.

Dr. Truesdale has been my vet for many years. He is really knowledgeable but it seems lately the prices are getting ridiculously expensive and the office is always too crowded. I also recommended the office to a family member who recently had a very poor experience when her elderly cat needed to be euthanized. The staff was very cold and uncaring both on the phone and in person. All business, no compassion.

Dr. Truesdale and his staff are the best in the vet industry. Dr. Truesdale takes the time and listens if you have concerns regarding your pet. We are proud owners of his boxers and cannot imagine our home without one of Dr. Truesdale's boxers. Dr. Tuesdale's boxer are the most beautiful boxers I have ever seen. The staff is terrific they are always there for you and they are a very dedicated team. Thank you Dr. Truesdale and staff for loving our dog as much as we do. Judy - Seekonk, MA

Dr Truesdale is great!! But I agree with another reviewer, he does have one very rude staff member- Kristen. I have had great experiences with all the other staff and Dr Truesdale himself is the best.

I had been a client for many years and moved from the area. We came back to Seekonk a few months ago and started going back to Dr Truesdale, and I find him to be a very caring vet. We had other vets and none were as as nice as he is. The staff we find wonderful, also a few are still there from when we moved 9 years ago and were genuinely happy to see us again.

We've been going to Dr. Truesdale for years and have been very happy with the care there for our two older cats. We have had bad experiences with other vets in the area and are thankful to have someone whose opinion we can trust.

Basically the same review as the previous 2. Dr. Truesdale takes into consideration the uniqueness of your pet and his/her situation and also listens to the owners to come up with a solution best suited towards your pet's health. Again, the staff can sometimes be hurried and overall they do not have a great bedside manner but all in all, Dr. Truesdale's office does take very good care of your pet.
Dr. Truesdale is an excellent vet -- very good with dogs. I have brought 2 generations of my dogs to him. His office staff, however, leaves a great deal to be desired. Several are rude -- and be careful what they charge you for!
Dr T is the best, the office staff can be overworked at times & it shows in their interactions with clients - they are not the most patient or nice people at times.I recommend making early appointments as they tend to get busy and by afternoon, you could be waiting for an hour.Again, Dr T is the best. He's extremely knowledgable, esp about boxers, and takes his time caring for your pet. listening to your concerns and answering questions.. and handling emergencies. I've been a long time client there, and I have total respect for him as a vet.
Dr. Truesdale is very skilled but needs to work on customer relations due to one extremelyrude staff member.
I called from PA to try to get help for my 14+ year old boxer dog. I found out about Dr. Truesdale from a tv. commercial some years back. He was advertising dog food, and said that he was not only a breeder of top boxer champions but also a veterinarian. So when my old dog was in need of a decision about her life, I called the office, in hopes that they may have some additional suggestions to help my old much loved pet. Who better to find out information about your breed of pet then by a breeder, and veterinarian. I spoke with Pam, a staff member, and boxer mom/breeder . She took time to speak with me about my old beloved dog Maggie. Things that she told me helped me in making the much dreaded decision that I had to make for her, which was to euthanize her. For me days are very sad, and lonely. But I know that with the knowledge that I got from Pam that I made the best decision for my best friend. I highly recommend that if you are a boxer parent, in MA. Call Dr. Trusedale, and staff!!
