- Dental ExaminationYour dental hygienist will begin your cleaning by exploring the surface of your teeth to determine if you have any cavities and to examine the quality of existing fillings. The hygienist will perform a periodontal exam to make sure your gums adhere tightly to your teeth, and no periodontal disease or bone loss may be occurring.
- X-rays
- Oral Cancer ScreeningOur office is not only dedicated to your smile, we’re also dedicated to your overall wellness. We take a holistic approach to your dental care, which includes an oral cancer screening as a part of your regular exam. Like other kinds of cancer, oral cancer can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated early.
- Teeth CleaningThe health of your teeth and mouth is very important to the well-being of your entire body, and although routine brushing and flossing at home is necessary to keep your smile looking its best, visiting our office for a comprehensive exam and cleaning is essential.
- Fluoride Treatment
- Dental SealantsSometimes brushing is not enough, especially when it comes to those hard-to-reach spots in your mouth. It is difficult for your toothbrush to get between the small cracks and grooves on your teeth. If left alone, those tiny areas can develop tooth decay. Sealants give your teeth extra protection against decay and help prevent cavities.
- FillingsAs your source for oral health education, our office knows how important it is to provide our patients with information about oral health issues that can affect their overall health. One of those oral health issues has to do with the mercury that is released from amalgam fillings.
- Resin CompositeNewer dental fillings include ceramic and plastic compounds that mimic the appearance of natural teeth. These compounds, often called composite resins, are usually used on the front teeth where a natural appearance is important, but they can also be used on the back teeth, depending on the location and extent of the tooth decay.
- VeneersBonding is less expensive than other cosmetic treatments and usually can be completed during one visit to our office. However, bonding can stain and is easier to break than other cosmetic treatments such as porcelain veneers. If it does break or chip, let us know. The bonding generally can be patched or repaired easily in one visit.
- CrownsCrowns are a cosmetic restoration used to strengthen a tooth or improve its shape. Crowns are most often used for teeth that are broken, worn, or partially destroyed by tooth decay.
- Bridges
- Dental BondingBonding is a conservative way to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth. During dental bonding, a white filling is placed onto your tooth to improve its appearance. The filling “bonds” with your teeth, and because it comes in a variety of tooth-colored shades, it closely matches the appearance of your natural teeth.
- Restorative DentistryI have been a general dentist in private practice since 1984. I have extensive knowledge of restorative dentistry, fixed prosthetics (crown and bridge), implants, cosmetic dentistry, and occlusion (bite issues). My profession involves helping people, either to get them out of pain, to improve the appearance of their teeth and smile, or just to improve their overall dental health.
- Root Canal Treatment
- Deep CleaningThe first line of defense against gum disease is a unique type of deep cleaning called “scaling and root planing.” In this procedure, an ultrasonic cleaning device is used to remove plaque and tartar from your teeth where regular cleaning devices can’t reach: under the gum line, on the tooth, and around the root.
- DenturesConventional partial and full dentures are not fixed to the bone, and can therefore be unstable. This can make it difficult to eat or smile with confidence.
- Dental ImplantsIf you’ve lost a tooth, Dr. Webb may have recommended getting a dental implant to fill the empty space and allow for optimal function of your teeth. The dental implant itself is only a replacement for the root of the lost tooth, so after the implant has been placed, you’ll still need to get a restoration, or replacement tooth.
- Oral Surgery
- Gum SurgeryWe use laser dentistry to provide soft tissue treatments, including gum reshaping, gum surgery, and muscle attachment improvements.
- Maxillofacial Surgery
- Orthodontics
- Invisalign OrthodonticsIf you or someone you know is considering improving their smile with cosmetic dentistry, then this is the book for you. Dr. Kurpis covers techniques involving porcelain veneers, porcelain crowns, fixed bridges, dental implants, cosmetic gum surgery, Invisalign tooth movement, and teeth bleaching, to name just a few.
- BracesIn fact, it’s even more important that patients receiving orthodontic treatment visit their dentist regularly. With braces, food may be caught in places your toothbrush can’t reach. This causes bacteria to build up and can lead to cavities, gingivitis, and gum disease.
- Teeth WhiteningThe best way to begin any teeth-whitening regimen is to schedule an appointment and talk to us about the options available to you.
