- Retaining WallsDue to unique site constraints, the project involved multiple construction challenges. One site challenge was the unsuitable soils with multiple sink holes. To provide a stable foundation system, more than 700 micropiles have been installed. Another challenge was the 18” basement foundation retaining wall set atop concrete grade beams, all of which were poured in the middle of winter. Despite these conditions, the project was completed early and under budget.
- Irrigation SystemsThis building directly adjacent to the airport, is 100,000 SF and consists of 12 loading docks. Construction took place near a Septa tunnel, so additional care was given for blasting. There is 54 tilt-up panels as well as an ESFR sprinkler system with a 2000 GPM diesel pump.
