- At Scranton Music Academy, we teach music lessons in piano, voice, guitar, brass, woodwinds, strings, drums and percussion in our school serving Scranton, Pennsylvania, Clarks Summit, Dunmore, Taylor, Old Forge, Moosic, Moscow, Dickson City, Carbondale, Eynon, Archbald, Peckville, and the upper valley! We are not a music store. All we do is teach! Scranton Music Academy isthe area's only private music school dedicated just to teaching music! In order to provide the best possible music education to our students, all of our teachers are university trained and professional, performing musicians. Before anyone teaches at SMA, they must pass a criminal background check.

General Info
We are one of the only music schools in Scranton that offers free recitals with a grand piano in a first class professional recital hall. Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital. Our recitals are optional, free, low-pressure and lots of fun. Every June and January, our students have the option of performing. There are no participation fees and parents, friends & family never have to pay admission for these recitals.
