This review is for LARRY STEWART. My mother-in-law has been his client for over 40 years. Though she is now 96, she continues to have color, highlights and cuts as needed, and styling weekly. Almost 2 years ago she moved into an assisted living facility and is no longer able to independently manage her checkbook or personal finances. She wanted to continue going to Larry, so arrangements were made for that to happen. Larry texted her charges to my husband every 4-6 weeks, and they were always paid. The charges varied from $425-$775 each 4-6 weeks, but with no explanations. In January, 2014, my husband asked for an itemization of charges to which Larry replied, "I don't do that." He let it go for about 8 months, and again this past August my husband again asked Larry to itemize his charges so that we could better budget her expenses. His reply, "I will no longer work with you." When my mother-in-law's driver called to confirm her next appointment, Larry told him that if she didn't have a check to pay with then don't bring her! He turned away a 96-year-old client with whom he has had a relationship for over 40 years! I find his behavior extremely RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and at the very least, QUESTIONABLE! He has always been paid. She has been his loyal client for many years, yet he now refuses to do her hair because he was asked to account for the charges of his services. He has been in business for a long time, but his business ethics and questionable character will certainly prevent us from ever recommending him. My mother-in-law has since found another experienced, kind and professional hairdresser who is forthcoming about her pricing!
