International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers represents approximately 725,000 members who work in a wide variety of fields, including utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, railroads and government. Based in Scottsdale, Ariz., it offers a range of products in various categories, such as alarms and detection devices, appliances and household products, automotive, electrical components, electronics, metal enclosures and cabinets. The organizations telecommunications department also provides local unions assistance with national negotiations, local union negotiations, legislation, health care initiatives, training, research and organizing.
