My daughter ended up scared this doctor would hit her with the "stick" (prism) she was holding above her head and I had to hear my daughter the whole ride back saying "no touch, no hit" Don't expect to find a single toy, children book, or anything child related, there is nothing at all to make kids comfortable or distracted at the exam or during the long wait. And after a few minutes she had made the decision that we would be leaving with a prescription for glasses. Have you heard of cortical vision impairment Dr. Geiger? You can see all the big inventory of glasses out there so don't be surprise you will be given a prescription after a few minutes. I even called ahead of time to make sure she had experience with special needs kids and I was told she did. I don't think so.
