We assemble for praise, worship, teaching, inspiration, winning of the lost, and for food for the soul.WHY IS ANCHOR BAPTIST CHURCH HERE?Matt. 28; 19-20 is the great commission to the church and plainly tells its purpose.Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the World. Amen.We are here to tell of the GospelGood News.We are here to instruct believers in obedience.We are here to instruct and direct believers in service. WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?THE BIBLE - We believe it to be the verbally inspired Word of God. It is the only complete and final revelation of God to man in this age, and is the standard and guide of conduct and action for the believer and the church.THE BLOOD - Without the shedding of blood is no remission of sin. Heb. 9:22. Even so the Son of man came - to give his life a ransom for many. Mt. 20:28THE BLESSED HOPE - This SAME Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come in LIKE MANNER as ye have seen Him go into heaven. Acts 1:11. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we, which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. I Thes. 4:16-17THE NEW BIRTH - Except a man be BORN AGAIN he cannot see the kingdom of God John 3:3.
