- Primary CareDr. Shen would like you to be aware that his practice offers service above and beyond that of most primary-care physicians. He will see you in the hospital, has same-day return service for all phone calls, answers almost-all pages within 2 minutes, and opens his office during off-hours for his patients. He also goes to 5 nearby rehab facilities and does house calls.
- Emergency CareOur office hours, fax number and website are on our business card and option 1 on our answering service. This is the best time to call for routine matters. We understand that sometimes you may leave a message (option 2 on the answering service), because the office hours are an inconvenient time to call, but it is the best way to avoid phone tag and unclear messages. If you need to be seen urgently, we will accommodate you as best as we can. However, there will be times that Dr. Shen will be away, at the hospital, on a house call or a rehab/nursing home center, as well as having a long wait time. We do not overbook unless we are squeezing in urgent visits, which explain why sometimes, the waiting room is empty. If it is after hours, please page Dr. Shen if you are considering going to the emergency department or an urgent care center, unless you are dialing 911.
