My son has been going to A Step Ahead since he was 4 years old. This was the best decision and investment we ever made. Mrs. Petrilla is dedicated to educating and preparing children for success in kindergarten and beyond. My son was prepared for kindergarten and now is an honor student. He enjoys going there every day. They have fun and educational activities planned each day. They participate in the trike a thon to benefit St. Jude's hospital and sell Alex's lemonade to raise money for charity.

I recently inrolled my son in this childcare program at a step ahead for two 1/2 days a week, was made to get him a physical $20,was made to pay a fee of $35 for what, I don't know? And paid my $32 for his first two days.This would of been fine if my son was Happy , well he wasn't . First of all they need to get a staff with some personality! When I took my son there for the first day NOBODY came over to greet him or make him feel welcomed , nobody even smiled at him or anything. The supervisor was filling me in on papers that needed to be signed and gave me a tour, still nobody is making any effort to show my son that this is a fun place to be. I was really thinking of just leaving then, but I thought I would give it a try and let my son decide. Cole, my son LOVES to play with other kids and has no separating issues but when I came to pick him up he was very upset , I could see it on his face. I ask the teacher what happened and she said he was crying because he was made to sit at the snack table until everyone was finished eating and their are slow eaters, which was ok I guess, but when I talked to Cole he said that nobody would play with him. So that brought me back to when we first got there,I did feel that this was not the place for my son. I called to let them know how I felt and that Cole would not be returning, then I asked for the $16, for the day he would not be using, she would not refund it! So after paying $20+$35+$32 and only being there for 2 1/2 hours, what a terrible thing to do, and I was also told that if I email or call it would be considered harassment. So parents BEWARE of A step ahead!!!!!
