I rate CarTeks at only one star because of how many issues with window tinting that we had. Me and a family member had a total of four cars tinted at this shop last July & August in 2013. Two of the cars received window tinting on all of the side and rear windows, and two cars received window tinting only on the two front side windows.



We had many issues. From scratches to lint/dust between the glass and tint film, we had to come back multiple times. CarTeks re-did the tint on 3 of the cars, in some cases, multiple times, because there were still blemishes on some of the re-tint jobs. On one of the cars, they would not re-tint, because they said the floor had mud on it which caused the lint/dust between the glass and tint film. A poor excuse that has nothing to do with the problem.



Overall, it would probably be better to pay twice as much if it meant that we only had to make one visit per car to the tint shop. The amount of times that we had to go back was absolutely ridiculous. I am not a perfectionist, but when you have a scratch running the entire length of the window, or have a "peppered" appearance with dust and lint behind the tint film, both are totally unacceptable for a legitimate tinting business.



On my first trip there, there was another gentlemen who was waiting for them to re-tint one of his windows due to an imperfection. I wonder if this happens a lot at this shop? Perhaps most people don't care, or don't understand what a really good tint-job will look like. Either way, I was pretty dissatisfied, which is why I felt it necessary to write this review. Save yourself the trouble.....go elsewhere and pay a little bit more. You'll thank yourself later.
