Woodlawn Elementary School, located in Schenectady, N.Y., offers education to more than 300 students in grades kindergarten through five. Its curriculum includes subjects such as mathematics, English, fine arts, foreign languages, social studies, science, physical education, computer and industrial technology. In addition, the school provides training classes in visual learning, reading, writing, communication and problem solving skills. The extracurricular activities offered by the school include, art shows, drama, band, storytelling, handbook and music. It also provides a wide range of sports activities that include baseball, cross country, softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball and wrestling. The services provided by the school include career counseling, academic guidance and financial assistance. The school is a part of the Schenectady City Schools.
