Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Math, Science, Technology & Invention Magnet School serves more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school is located in Schenectady, N.Y., and teaches basic math, phonics and computer skills. Its math curriculum teaches math concepts through the use of manipulatives, games and interdisciplinary activities. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Math, Science, Technology & Invention Magnet School s parent-teacher organization sponsors fundraising events and parent-teacher meetings. The school features a parent center, cafeteria, classrooms and computer labs. Its student activities include Odyssey of the Mind, choir, Math Olympiad, and environmental and science clubs. Founded in 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Math, Science, Technology & Invention Magnet School is a part of the Schenectady City School District.
