- Criminal DefenseTim served as a staff attorney extern at the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Lake County, Illinois in Waukegan, Illinois. As an extern, he researched and drafted weekly memoranda and orders for judicial review on legal issues involving motions to dismiss, motions for forum non conveniens, and motions for summary judgment in motor vehicle cases, premises liability cases, commercial foreclosure cases, and mortgage foreclosure cases. Additionally, he received exposure to criminal matters, including post-conviction proceedings and cases involving defendants’ claims of ineffective assistance of counsel.
