Littell International designs, engineers and manufactures a wide range of scroll-sheeting systems, uncoilers, straighteners, feeders and accessories for the stamping industry. The company also manufactures a line of high-speed, cut-to-length scroll-cutting machinery with automatic inspection and classification for the can and container industries. Each Littell scroll-sheeting system receives the coil with bore vertical, downends, lifts, traverses and places the coil on the payoff reel. The line then uncoils, straightens, inspects, cuts to length, sorts and piles both rectangular and scrolled sheets from coils. The company s proprietary system can also produce straight-cut sheets for can bodies. Littell International s systems can handle coils weighing up to 20 metric tons, operate at speeds of up to 275 millimeters es per minute and deliver outputs that range from 50 to 300 sheets per minute. Littell International has its manufacturing, sales, design, engineering and corporate operations on a ten-acre site in Addison, Ill.
