My husband and I moved to Clifton area and was looking for a good restaurant. We were told about the Fish Hut and absolutely fell in love with their food. The best hush puppies in the world and taste the same when they are cold. We had so much food that we bring leftovers that we can not eat home for lunch the next day. Service is a little slow, but due to the volume of people and that they cook your meal to order instead of having it already cooked means alot and I will wait for that. Only downside I see there is that they only take cash or checks and no debit cards. Best steaks I have even put in my mouth, great catfish and the BEST hushpuppies. I am so impressed with their food, that we are taking our family members there today that have never eaten there before. Wonderful American owned and family business and we need more of those!!!

Other restaurants in Savannah have greater quality service. The food was okay, but very poor service.

I first ate here several years ago when my brother took me here for lunch. Food was good then and still is. While in Savannah in Jan '09 for his funeral, I took some family and friends for a catfish meal. Fried catfish and homemade pies are so good I ate there twice the same day and had catfish both times. Coconut pie was excellent. Everyone agreed catfish (actually battered with meal-not flour as many places do) was as good as we had ever had. Service was good and staff was cheerful and brought an extra plate for sharing at no charge. Prices were good too. Atmosphere is definitely home kitchen. I will go back. Tennessee girl still.
