Founded in 1943, Howard Sheppard Incorporated is one of the oldest and largest motor carriers in the United States. It is a family-owned corporation that staffs more than 400 employees and has a fleet of trucks that handles crude ores, liquid, dry bulk, and packaged and containerized freight. Howard Sheppard Incorporated has a warehouse in Sandersville, Ga., and offers truckload services for kaolin, carbonates and nonhazardous chemicals. It also features over 150 dump trucks. The corporation s trailer fleet is comprised of liquid tanks, pneumatic dry bulk tanks, vans and flatbeds. It is licensed to operate in more than 48 U.S. States and Canada. Howard Sheppard maintains several locations in Savannah, Augusta and Jeffersonville, Ga.
