Located in Savage, Minn., the Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve covers an area of more than 2,400 acres. The park reserve includes trails for turf hiking, horse riding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing. Additionally, it is a place for boating, bird watching, biking and riding activities. The park reserve is a part of the Three Rivers Park District, which is a nationally acclaimed network of parks and trails. Established in 1957 by the state legislature, the Three Rivers Park District maintains over 27,000 acres of parkland that includes golf courses, nature centers, and ski and snowboard areas. In addition, it includes areas for camping and swimming.
