Little scholars preschool and child care center offers a professionally designed. Thematic curriculum. Complete with lesson plans which presents a play based curriculum model. We focus on planning daily experiences organization. And arrangement of FUN. Educational exploration. Scaffolding for individual growth. Beginning spanish. Beginning american sign language. Assessing play experiences. Progress reports. Portfolios. And newsletters for parents to USE AS a guide to reinforce positive involvement AT home. Children will learn through HANDS-ON play and structured activities in OUR WELL-ORGANIZED "learning environments". These are the different centers within each classroom where children CAN find toys and materials related by theme. Interest. And skills. These activities and toys CAN BE used independently by children. Or with teacher direction. To reinforce and enrich skills and concepts needed for success. Learning environments are an excellent WAY to individualize the curriculum to meet the varying needs of young children. OUR facility. LSP has been a part of my daughter's life for over 2yrs. Every night after prayers she lists all the people she loves, those people included her teachers, Sandra, the owner, & several classmates. The amount of care/love each child receives is amazing. The curriculum is such that the children not only love to learn, but want to learn more. This school far surpasses any other in Sarasota. This school came highly recommended to me & I highly recommend it too. No other school will do.
My child has been a part of LSP since the doors opened. I had researched all of the daycares in Srq & had even put a $200 dep. to hold a spot at another school. After meeting Sandra & touring the school I forfeited the dep at the other school & immediately enrolled my child at LSP. This was something I have never regretted. The staff has been amazing, caring & Cheerful on a daily basis. Sandra takes pride in the foundation she is giving our children & it shows how much she cares about the kids and staff. Our community has truly been blessed by LSP opening its doors to us. I can not describe the amount of stress that has been relieved due to the fact that I know my child is safe, Happy & well cared for while I am at work. Thank you to EVERYONE at LSP for doing what you do best and that?s loving, teaching & keeping our children safe every day.

WOW! This school is awesome. I was very worried and concerned on where to put my only 1 1/2 year old daughter. We did not have a good experience at a previous daycare. I didn't want to put her on a daycare. I wanted to find a place where she would learn and have a lot of fun. I FOUND IT! This is an amazing place. My daughter is learning a lot of things every day including sign language. She is coming home sharing them with me. It didn't care her long at all to feel safe. Now as soon as we get there she is ready to go to class. She won't even say goodbye to me. She sleeps and eats well at the school. The school is so clean and open. The rooms are beautiful. They even have computers. The director and founder is super nice and she makes feel at ease leaving her there. She's been in the business for 18 yrs. The teachers are very sweet. Please check out the website. I so recommend this school to every mom out there. NO MORE LOOKING, this is the place for your baby to be.
The preschool has just opened and my daughter is 2 1/2 and was there the first day. I have had my daughter with a private "nanny" since 6 months and had been searching for quite awhile. I was very dissapointed in the options for full-time child care in Sarasota especially in this area of Sarasota. When I spoke with Miss Sandra, and then toured the school I could not believe how organized it was, impressed with the quality of the toys and learning activities. Please visit the website-it shows how detailed and impressive the school and Miss Sandra is. They have also been wonderful with me as I have adjusted too! I can not tell you enough how much it stands out you will have to see for yourself. My daughter is doing great and loves her teachers. I can not recommend Miss Sandra and Little Scholars to you enough... but it only takes a visit to the school or website to see for yourself.
