What a great experience for myself and weeding party. I could find very few salons who could do the work so I took a chance with Fashion Focus. Very impressed by the epode's and the great attitude of the students and staff. Many compliments from people who attended the wedding. I am going to continue to go here and would recommend the school to anyone who would like to have a great and surprising experience.

I have been going here for three years, I have never complained when there was a mistake made and I had to stay for another 2 hrs to have my hair re dyed, (4 times) there was always an instructor to help during the week, but I guess it s go at your own risk on Saturdays because I had a wedding and only asked for a blowout with a little curl, and I side part, after sitting in the chair for an hour and the girl asking the girl next to us to do my part ( no instructors in sight, think they were cooking a turkey) my hair looked like I did it myself, all I heard was that I would have to pay more for her to use a flat iron! This was after the same girl could not do a French manicure and had to have the instructor do it. Oh yes the red haired bully instructor did come out after I paid to tell me that I could go to the Salon up the block, that they were not going to fix it! Thank you Susan for trying to help. You get what you pay for.

I transferred schools from the Sarasota Technical school on Geneva Rd with 400 hours. I did not feel that I was receiving an education that would make me a successful stylist. The classes were very large and there was a lot of self teaching with very little supervision by teachers. We were left to do our own thing and at the end I did not feel that I would be able to succeed. In the first 2 months at Fashion Focus I learned more than I did in 400 hour at the vocational school. What a great progressive program I entered and I am feeling very comfortable that I will graduate with a very good background in the industry. I would highly recommend Fashion Focus!! KB

I transferred from the Sarasota Vocational school on Beneva Rd in Sarasota, Fl. I had well over 400 hours there and felt like I was not learning anything. with such large classes and very little basic training and little supervision I decided to transfer to Fashion Focus. I learned more in 2 months and what a vast improvement in the education that they provide. Very small classes and lots of instructors and a very busy salon. Would never recommend anyone going to vocational school. KB

I GRADUATED FROM THE SCHOOL 6 MONTHS AGO ,PASSED MY BOARDS( WITH FLYING COLORS) AND STARTED TO WORK IN A GREAT SALON IN BRADENTON. I CAN REALLY NOW APPRECIATED WHAT A GREAT EDUCATION I RECEIVED AT THE SCHOOL. I AM LOOKING AT WHAT SOME OF THE OTHER STYLIST ARE DOING AND THEY AHVE BEEN DOING HAIR FOR QUITE SOME TIME AND IT IS AMAZING THAT I AM BUILDING A CLIENT BASE ON MY SKILLS THAT I DEVELOPED THROUGH THE SCHOOL- THANK YOU FASHION FOCUS FOR THE GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

I am hoping to be going to this school. Fashion Focus Hair Academy has an amazingly professional curriculam. It prepars you for everything you need to know about the business. I can't wait to get started and learn everything from this academy. Everyone should check them out. Whether it be for furthering your career or just a salon appointment. As a spa salon owner I was very pleased with the 2 students I hired over ht e last 3 months. One was a esthetician and one a hair dresser. They came in with a lot of confidence and seemed better prepared out of school than other graduates I have hired. They seemed prepared not only for the services that they offered but had great communication skills with the spas clients. I would not hesitate to have other grads come into my business. Tamara M

Had my wedding party and myself go to the school for the hair and make up services a month ago. What a pleasant surprise. I could not find many salons who could do up do's but they knocked it out of the park. And the price was tremendous. The students really enjoyed working with us and all had great attitudes. i would recommend this school to anyone!!

I just graduated from the school last week and it was an excellent experience. The Cosmetology instructors were always there for the students and really pushing being prepared for the salon industry by being salon ready. I have 3 job options now and just trying to decide which one to go for. I really feel good about my preparedness. Thank you to the staff at FAshion FOCUS!!!!!!!

I went to the school last week with 2 friends for a spa day- what a great day we had!!! Facials, mani and pedi's as style and all was perfect. My friends and I will return. I liked their 3 card referral program where i can get a free service just by sending my other friends.All the students were so professional no only in the service but how they treated us and did their best to pamper us. I just hired a graduate from Fashion Focus. She came to me with a full specialist license ( both a nail teach and an esthetician) . I had her do some services on some salon customers and they raved about not only the work she performed but also her great people skills. Had a very positive experience here. I was checking out schools in the area to see where I wanted to go for my facial training. I was not impressed with the Florida College of Natural Health- way to pushy and only had part time classes. they also tried to get me into a 2 year program and a AA degree to do facials. Fashion Focus was very impressive- not only the facilities but the one on one staff ratio. Plus after looking at the reviews on this site- I made up my mind to go here. I am a local salon owner for many years in Sarasota. Over the past 4 years I have hired 3 graduates from the school. 2 where Cosmetologist and one an Esthetician. I am really impressed with not only their skill level coming out of school but also having the ability to understand how to go about building a client base. These graduates told me that this was part of their training and it was incorporated into the schools curriculum. They sure hit the nail on the head. It has been a great experience not having to do the training process all over again upon graduation. I would like to get more graduates from Fashion Focus. TH

I wish I could add more stars for this review. My daughter had her hair done for prom and what a creative and beautiful updo they did. KUDOS to the students for their creativity and diligence in making the event that night so memorable. A happy mom!!!

Fun place a a really good education. Finished school in Cosmetology and have been working in the biz for over a year and I am building a good client base. I felt that I was really prepared when I came out of school The salon success training really made a difference in my building process. Thanks to all the staff!!

I transferred my program from Sarasota Vocational school in 2012 into Fashion Focus Cosmetology program and I can say that it was the best move I have ever made. A great deal more of 1 on 1 education and a lot more advance training that I had received at Vo-tech. Staff there just did not seem to care if the students learned anything or not. What a waste of time. I have passed my boards and am working and enjoying being a hairdresser. I strongly would recommend Fashion Focus. CD
