Assistance with permit issues

General Info

All projects are handled personally by me (Bill Talley). I am a certified Building Official, Building Inspector, and CA General Contractor. I am NOT a lawyer; I have performed as an expert witness in construction and permit-related cases. When you get that threatening letter from the county or city, (They often appear to make you out to be the Enemy of the State.), have me handle it--I know what the standard policies and procedures are, and the standard code interpretations. I will sense when something's amiss and cover your back. Plus, I do not have an emotional or financial stake in your project (other than my hourly fee). This allows me to maintain objectivity and not ruffle feathers. In such stressful situations, it is wise to get help from someone who has a good understanding of the permitting regulations and processes. I have 19 years of actual hands-on local building department experience, performing permit processing, plan-checking, building inspections and code-enforcement for most of that time.
