      Reinhold Industries has been producing ablative, also known as heat-resistant, composite components for the rocket-propulsion industry for more than four decades. The company is a diversified manufacturer of advanced custom composite components and sheet molding compounds for a variety of applications in the United States and Europe. It derives revenues from the defense, aerospace and other commercial industries. Reinhold is also recognized as one of the leaders in the compression molding business with the largest press capacity on the West Coast. Reinhold Engineered Plastics, the forerunner to today s Reinhold Industries, was founded in 1928. The purpose of the original business was the molding of components from Bakelite, the first commercially available polymer molding material.
