Located in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., Lake Center Middle School serves more than 900 students in grades six through eight. The school organizes various field trips, competitions, and music and sports programs. It offers a variety of gifted and talented education, English language learners and bilingual programs. The school s teachers provide differentiated classroom instruction and enrichment activities. Its staff includes guidance counselors, subject teachers, instructional assistants, psychologists, speech and language therapists, and library media and resource specialists. The school s parent-teacher association encourages parents to volunteer with science experiments, and in computer labs, classrooms and the library. It also has a school site council and district advisory committee. The school offers classes in English, math, science, social studies and language arts. It operates under the Little Lake City School District.
