William and Faye Sherer established Green Star Produce in Salinas Valley in 1994. The two had been involved in the Salinas Valley produce industry since 1975 and found it a nature progression to start their own business. Since then Green Star has grown into the best stop on the California Central Coast for specialty item produce and consolidation. Green Star prides itself with best California grown fresh produce. Located in the center of California, near major highways and some of the best growing areas in the Golden State. All our products are harvested fresh in the fields and are then vacuum cooled to 36 degrees and never break the cold barrier.
