California Eastern Laboratories, founded in 1959, is the NEC Corporation's North American sales and marketing partner for RF, wireless, optoelectronic and fiber optic semiconductor products. NEC is a semiconductor manufacturer and CEL ships more than 100 million of its devices to its customers each year. CEL is an employee-owned company in Silicon Valley and is among the 100 largest private companies throughout all of California. It has 13 field sales offices throughout North America as well as a network of independent distributors. CEL's subsidiary, ISG Broadband, Inc, was organized to leverage CEL's RF semiconductor expertise into the development of innovative RF gateway solutions for broadband communications.
