I recently had cataract surgery done on both eyes, each eye being done within a month of each other. I feel like I've been given a new chance at a life of vision. Colors are brighter, everything is crisp and I can even see each tree on the far mountains surrounding Santa Barbara. I haven't been able to star-gaze in at least 30 years and am now dusting off my telescope and planning a star gazing trip.

A friend recommended me to Dr Poulin. I am new to the Santa Barbara area and did not have any insurance when I needed new glasses (I had put off an exam a few years and could not wait any longer). The office was nice, the office staff professional. I have absolutely no complaints, I will definitely refer others to this doctor as well as visit again when I need to.

Outstanding! I had cataract surgery on both eyes. One at the end of December 2009 and the other in mid-January 2010. Dr. Poulin and his staff were terrific throughout the preparation, surgery, and post-surgery process. After the second surgery, I had a problem that Dr. Poulin thought might have been related to my eyes - it was not! He met me at his office after-hours, personally took me to the Emergency Room, and stayed with me until he was sure I was being tested correctly. Wow! By the way, the result of the surgery is truly amazing - whites are whiter, blues are bluer and I am seeing clearly for the first time in years.

I had a contact lens stuck and I couldn't get it out of my eye. The girl at Dr Poulin's office got me in that very day to see him. I was about to freak out and they saved my rear. Bless them.

This was my first time going to see an Ophthalmologist as I always just went to an optometrist. Dr Poulin was nice, knowledgeable, spoke slowly in easy to understand terms, did not talk down to me and spent a lot of time with me (I have a family history of Glaucoma and was VERY nervous). He didn't speak down to me or rush me thru the exam. His staff was very courteous and I didn't have to wait in the waiting room too long to see him (total wait time was less than 10 min). I would definitely go back to him again as well as recommend him to my friends.
