Darryl answered my call, and promptly gave me a ballpark estimate (which convinced me that it made more sense to buy a new unit!).

I personally found the guy to have an attitude and be completely RUDE. He did not want to answer any of my questions and when I asked to find out what all was included in their "tune up" price for a projection television I was told he could not tell me. That makes me completely curious of what they really do for the $385 that I was quoted.

Don't even think about going anyplace else. Darryl is da man!

Darryl is a genuinely kind and extremely knowledgable fellow. You can tell so much about him by the way he treats you. The repairs of the equipment I have taken there are always top rate. You can tell he has pride in workmanship by his attention to detail. I recommend him to all my friends in Santa Barbara. I have heard from several of these friends and they have also had very good experiences with Darryl. This kind of service is hard to find these days. When we moved to Santa Barbara back in 1964 there were probably 35 TV repair shops in town. Darryl was one of them. Now in 2006 there are only 4. Darryl is one of them. This sure tell you something. Several times Darryl has come to my house to repair my sets. I have always been pleased with his service in my home as well as for those times I have taken my sets to his shop. By the way, his shop is the most organized facility I can remember seeing. His shop looks like the inside of NASA. I think he can fix anything.
