- NeurologyDaniel Rafie is a physician specializing in Sports Neurology and Traumatic Brain Injury. He completed his medical schooling at the American University of the Caribbean and his Neurology residency training at Hackensack – JFK Medical Center in New Jersey. He then went on to complete a 2-year Sports Neurology and Traumatic Brain Injury fellowship at the prestigious UCLA Steve Tisch BrainSPORT program. During this fellowship, he gained expertise in the assessment and management of traumatic brain injury and the performance of interventional spine procedures in order to comprehensively treat post-traumatic patients and athletes. He later graduated in 2001 from California State University of Fullerton with a B.S. in Kinesiology. Following graduation, he assisted a research team at the Center for Successful Aging in Fullerton studying the efficacy of a balance program for older adults with disability. Jesse also worked as a sports trainer and physical therapy aide at athletic performance and physical therapy facilities in Southern and Northern California. He completed his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies at Loma Linda University 2008. Jesse completed orthopedic rotations at Gustafson Orthopedic Clinic, Loma Linda Medical Center, and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center while attending Loma Linda. He assists Dr. Moelleken in surgery at both Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and the Carrillo Surgery Center.
