San Diego AGC Apprenticeship & Training Trust is based in Santa Ana, Calif. The organization operates one of the largest open-shop apprenticeship programs in the state. Its program is operated by and for various contractors. The program provides training and education to registered apprentices on California s public works and private construction projects. The organization s program is approved for a variety of trade classifications, including carpenter, cement mason, drywall lather and finisher, heavy equipment operator, painter, tile finisher and setter, and laborer. Its program offers practical on-the-job training combined with classroom instruction. The program duration varies up to four years as per the type of craft. San Diego AGC Apprenticeship & Training Trust provides certificates to apprentices on completion of training program.
