J.R. Ingram, Jr. Elementary School is a public school that is operated by Lee County Schools and offers educational classes in kindergarten through grade five. It has a staff of more than 80 full-time certified teachers that includes a media specialist, speech pathologist, nurse, physical education instructor, and art and music teacher. The school has a parent-teacher organization that operates a thrift shop and organizes several fundraising events. In addition, it offers food, health and bus transportation services to students. Established in 1988, J.R. Ingram, Jr. Elementary School organizes various extracurricular activities, such as spirit days, field and zoo trips, patriotism days and Red Ribbon Week.
