I just bought a used boat that had a 1999 Yamaha 115 hp 2 stroke on and took it there for a service and a replacement of the electric choke that was malfunctioning . the owner said he did not want to work on motor that some non Yamaha tech had previously worked on. Wow ! How do they stay open?? no worries though 5 mins on the phone and I found a 5 star Yamaha tech who came to my house and made the motor run like brand new in under 2 hours . so I am glad they refused my business ..Keep on looking for a better service center is my opinion. if they are afraid of the unknown then why are they even service techs ??
