The Merry-Go-Round Museum, located in the heart of Downtown Sandusky, offers unusual exhibits that are entertaining for visitors of all ages.Ride on our historic 1939 Allan Herschell carousel and see lots of beautiful historic "painted ponies". Volunteer and meet great people from all over the world. This carousel features beautiful renditions of all different sorts of figures including zebras; horses, or “jumpers,” so-called because of their jumping appearance, ostriches, frogs, chariots,dragons; and even everybody’s favorite pig.
