Provided by YP.comI wish i could give this place zero stars.
I have never been so disgusted with a place in my life. THEY ABUSE YOUR FUR CHILDREN!!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS to this place!! only 1 Employe was amazing their and she ended up leaving because she hated the way they would treat the animals. This place needs to be shut down!!! This little review is not the only thing i will be doing!! be the voice for the ones who don't have one!!

Provided by YPmobileThese people have no idea of what it means to be a "DOG GROOMER". It always take 5 to 6 hours to have your dog groomed. They never shampoo them, just a brush & blow out. They are inconsistent in their services, evidently in they have only 1 groomer who actually knows what she is doing..because in the 6 months I've been using their service I've only been happy with the service twice. NEVER EVER let them talk you into their PREFERRED plan. It's a rip off.

Provided by DexKnows.April 10I have been taking my little dog to Puppy Land for some time and never had a complaint about her behavior. The last time I took her in, they called me at work and said that she was nipping and biting. And in order for them to finish working on her they would have to use a mussel. They said she was hold her one leg up and didn't want them to touch it. as I said I was at work and very busy. I knew her left rear knee would lockup now and again. Since the girl there didn't tell me witch leg it was, I assumed this was what she was talking about. I told her " if it was her left leg not to worry about it she wasn't in pain and it would unlock". She said she needed a release signed to be able to finish grooming. I thought she she was talking about a release to mussel her. Since my husband was closer than I was I called him. I told him the dogs knee was locking up again and she almost done so run in to sign the release so they could use a mussel to finish, so he did. Well, when we went to pick her up, to my horror! She was in server pain and it was her right rear hip that had been DISLOCATED! The girl there told me she didn't know how it happen. That she she was working right next to the table she was on and nothing had happen. I told her the dog had walk in fine and now she was seriously injured, so how did she explain it. She just said they didn't do it. The owner called me and said his girls didn't lie. That my dog had a "bad doggie day" and injured herself. REALLY!!! And He had a signed release and didn't think he need to pay anything. So far the cost of being trusting and yes stupid on my part.has been $2400.00 + and an innocent little dog who was dropped or had her leg pulled so hard it dislocated her hip. If you know anyone that uses this place, I wonder what horror stories their dog would tell them if they could talk. « show less Don't Let your Dog be Groomedat Puppy Land

Provided by YP.comIm NEVER bringing my dog to this place !!!! They are HORRIBLE not only this place EVERYTHING is horrible !!! I was never told that my dog was naughty and miss behaved not only that i was told that he acted like a spoiled brat ?! When i picked him up he had both eyes full of blood and he was very sad for weeks . i called them and they said it was because of stress and that they called it cherry eye. I came back the following month because i was on the "VIP program" and asked the front desk if the amount was going to be $17, because it was only a bath. She said it was going to be $27 because there was a fee of $10 because he was a difficult dog last time. This people definitely don't have the experience to be working with small dogs and plus you can tell they only do it for $$$ !! And if you decide to come here DONT you ever go to the girl with pink hair and piercings all over her face , she is horrible !!!

Provided by YP.comTerrible place, they have no idea how to groom a dog. Mine looks like a six year old trimmed him. Sheds so bad after we picked him up I have no idea what they did. Nasty people, need to call the Humane Society. Sprayed perfume on him to cover up the cigarette smoke. One would have to be nuts to take a dog there.

Provided by YP.comI would NEVER use Puppy Land groomers again!! My dog walked in fine and next thing I know, my dog was seriously injured and needs surgery. And they lie! The staff said no one knows how it happen. Right! This injury was inflicted by a person.
A dog should NEVER be hurt no matter how difficult they are. If they can't handle a little dog, they should call the owner and tell them to come get it. But even though they act like they care about your pet. They really are only interested in money at all cost to you and your little cutie. They never had problems with this dog before. Now this little dog is trying to bite! Gee, I wonder why? Not to mention it was misrepresented so I would sign a release. I think the man that owns this place is very underhanded. Just remember, if you are called and told your dog is misbehaving and you need to sign a release. Don't do it without seeing your dog.

Provided by DexKnowsWe bought a corgi puppy last night from Puppy Land. They were very accomodating by meeting us after hours since we live in north Phoenix. We have never owned a dog before and Mike did a great job explaning the things we could expect and gave great instructions on care and potty training. I was very happy that the store was so clean. If it wasn't such a great distance I would be happy to bring my dog there for grooming. It was a wonderful experience and my two children are so excited to have a new addition to the family.

Provided by DexKnowsWe brought our 12 lb dog into to be bathed and groomed. This was her second time going there, so we had no reason to believe that this time wouldn't be as successful as the first time. About an hour after I dropped off the dog, we got a call saying that we needed to come get the dog because she freaked out like they had never seen before. Turns out they dislocated her rear hip. They said that the dog was just too nervous, but oddly enough, they got through trimming all of her nails and shaving down her front pads. It was only when they got to the rear pads, did the dog freak out....as any dog would having their hip dislocated. We spent over $1200 in emergency vet bills to try and get the hip back in its place without surgery. The non-surgical fix didn't take and the surgery would cost between $1500 and $2000. Ultimately, we couldn't afford to accrue any more debt and the doctor agreed to take ownership and fix it herself. We miss her terribly…especially our 3 year old, but we know she

Provided by DexKnowsMy wife took our dog to get groomed at Puppy Land. They shaved her body, trimed one of three paws and did not groom her face at all. They did 3/4 of the job and charged us full price. They cited our dog was not being cooperative, which is understandable, small dogs like her can be skittish and nervous..however she has been groomed by other companies who were able to complete the job as they apparently have methods to deal with frightened dogs. That said, it is acceptable that one does not wish to be bitten or traumatize an animal - but not acceptable to request full payment for job that is not complete. I personally could not, in good conscious, charge full price for a service I was unable to complete for whatever reason. A discount was obviously in order, but my wife too kind to request one - but she should have had to.

Provided by DexKnowsWe have purchased a dog here. We have had her for 6 months now with no health concerns. We also take our other puppy in to get groomed. They always take good care of them both and the dogs come out happy :)

Provided by DexKnowsI visited Puppyland on 2 occasions recently and on both occasions I found the employees to be friendly. I also found the store clean and free from the odors that you find in must animal stores. Tha dogs looked happy, healthy and active. Most places could take lessons from these people. I had my dog's nails clipped and the price quoted was the price charged. I really hate people who want everything for nothing and the write complaints to ruin a busisness because they were'nt given a service for free. My Experience was great and I would reccoment them to my best friend.
