Founded in 1983, PB&A (Pirooz Barar & Associates Inc.) designs underground structures (geo-structures). The company operates finite element analysis and other custom in-house programs to deal with geotechnical conditions. Based in San Anselmo, Pa., it has experience in permanent Soldier Beam and Tie Back, mciropiles, stope stability, cantileverted systems and permanent soil nailing. PB&A undertakes the advancement of technical design and analysis of shoring and earth retention systems. The company designs earth retention systems and geo-structures.
