Buckelew Programs is a community-based nonprofit organization, founded in 1970, providing a continuum of services to increase self-sufficiency for people with mental handicaps in the North Bay. The services offered by the organization include group homes, transitional and independent living arrangements, recovery-oriented supportive services, activities, family counseling and education and job training and employment placement programs. Buckelew is funded by public and private sources and is governed by board of directors. The organization offers its services in Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties, Calif., and is headquartered in San Rafael, Calif.
