Provided by YP.comI also had a very negative experience with Dr. Wolfe. He felt torn between a desire to be supportive, and his own true nature which seems patronizing and arrogant. It was impossible to walk out of a meeting with Dr. Wolfe without feeling like he has decided that I am somehow deeply rotten inside. It was very upsetting. After meeting with Dr. Wolfe twice, I ended up having to go elsewhere and start my process over.

Provided by YP.comI met with Dr. Wolfe after a traumatic brain injury. Initially he told me that my symptoms were consistent with my injury. However after reviewing the damage to my car, he decided that he knew enough to assess the impact to be “minor” (my car was ultimately totaled by the insurer,) and sharply shifted to determine that I was troubled by some form of deep and hidden anxiety that caused my symptoms. When I attempted to argue my case and explain that I am fully functional in the world, have strong friendships, a responsible job, and don't feel that I have any deep underlying mental health issue; Dr. Wolfe went on to say "that's exactly what I would expect to hear from your personality type. You probably don't even know you have this problem, but even if you did, you are the type that would deny it." With such profound arrogance he proceeded to explain how I have issues that are "deeply pathological" and how "any standard modality of therapy would be completely ineffective due to your personality type which only functions through denial." It was sad to be so harshly labeled as utterly damaged and irreparable, and from someone who has only met me twice. Fortunately, my symptoms have since subsided.
