This is "THE PLACE" for folks that like oysters. My and my family all love the broiled oysters with garlic and parmesan cheese with a shrimp topper. Add in the grilled garlic toast and beer resulting in no better meal that I know of. You can BYOB and buy setups which can be a big bonus to some. They do have a daily specials that include steak and seafood. Gilhooley's a unique watering hole that is NOT for the fussy non-smoker folks or those that need pristine furnishings. It's a drive and I love it. My brother, one of those critical people, says it's he favorite restaurant of all time. Prices are very affordable for dining out.
