Monroe Middle School has an annual enrollment of more than 380 students. It serves students in grades seven and eight. The school s academic curriculum includes math, science, social studies and language arts. Monroe Middle School administers the English as a Second Language program. The school also conducts gifted and talented education programs for students with special needs. It operates a student council and booster, chess and industrial technology clubs. Monroe Middle School has a library that offers a variety of educational materials and resources. The school offers sports activities, such as swimming, basketball, wrestling and soccer. It is governed by Omaha Public Schools, which additionally manages several elementary, middle and high schools.
