Los Alamitos Elementary School is a Blue Ribbon School and is located in San Jose, Calif. It enrolls students in kindergarten through grade five. Its accelerated reader program offers unlimited access to more than 100,000 searchable quiz lists from publishers around the world. The school provides a yearlong, comprehensive art education program that includes various art lessons and projects for students in kindergarten to grade five. It also offers various before- and after-school programs, including academic chess, noon science sleuth, Spanish, sign language and guitar learning. In addition, the school has a parent-teacher association that sponsors various school activities, including an open studio art show, reflections program, a variety show and walk-a-thon.
